Meter Change Out Program

The City of Verona is upgrading all customer water meters to wireless technology that will read and transmit water consumption on a daily basis.  Every home and business in Verona will be visited for a new meter installation. 

Meters are being replaced by order of age. If you have received a letter, please contact us to schedule a meter replacement appointment at (608) 845-6695 or send an email.  In your email please include your name, address and phone number.  Also, please include a couple of dates and times that will work for your schedule. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

BENEFITS OF THE NEW METERING SYSTEM:

● Enables the utility to track your consumption on a daily basis and alert you to costly leaks.
Information on the wireless transmitter
● Provides an energy efficient, accurate and cost effective way for the Verona Water Utility to read water meters.
● Helps the utility operate our entire system more efficiently with accurate consumption data.

In most cases, installations will take no longer than 30 minutes. Your water service will be interrupted for roughly ten minutes. The workers need clear access to the water meter, which is usually located in your basement.  Please understand there is no additional charge to the customer for the installation.
