In our attempt to keep the higher-risk population that we serve healthy and avoid exposure to the COVID-19 virus the Senior Center will be open by appointment only. Watch for updates on the Friends of the Verona Senior Center website, our Facebook page, and our weekly emails.

We are not taking equipment or supply donations for our Loan Closet at this time. If you are in need of equipment please call 608-845-7471.
If you need a ride on the Transit Solutions bus in the City of Verona,
call 608-845-7471 and leave a message at least 24 hours in advance.
If you would like to order food for the $5 meals on Tuesdays or Thursdays, please call 608-848-0438 by Wednesday, the week before, and leave a message.
When leaving a message, know that the voicemail is checked regularly.
Case management can provide seniors, their families and their caregivers with information as well as short-term support or ongoing case management support and services. Case management provides confidential needs assessments and referrals to appropriate resources.

Need an Assistive Device or Equipment?
Please call 48 hours in advance (when possible) when you are need of an assistive device or equipment so that staff can check inventory and have it ready for you when you come in. Call: 608-845-7471.

- Transportation (local and for medical appointments)
- Personal care
- Hospice services
- Health insurance
- Drug coverage / Medicare Part D
- State and County programs - resources and eligibility
- Elder abuse or neglect
- Caregiver support and resources
- Social and recreational programs
- Scam prevention
- Tax assistance
Active Senior Center Groups:
Caregivers Support Group - support group for current and former caregivers.
Veterans Group - Vets from all branches of services welcome, open to all ages.
Parkinson’s Support Group - support group run by Barb, RN, for people diagnosed with Parkinson's and/or their caregivers.
Club 108 - An activity program for individuals with early memory loss.
Man & Woman Talk - Men, 55 and older welcome. Group discussion and speakers.
Healthy Lifestyles - support group run by Barb, RN, covering a variety of topics to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Changes Related to Aging - Round table discussion about the concerns, challenges, and losses faced with aging. Discussion lead by Becky Losby.
Weight Watchers - Weight Watchers uses space at the Verona Senior Center for weekly meetings.
50+ Alcoholics Anonymous - Alcoholics Anonymous uses space at the Verona Senior Center for weekly meetings.
RSVP Verona Hometown Helpers - Enjoy knitting, crocheting or sewing? Join this monthly gathering to make items to donate to Dane County non-profits. Supplies and patterns provided.
Verona Stampers Group - Stamping group shares designs and ideas for cards and other projects. Bring your own supplies.
